The EPA and FDA what purpose do these agencies serve in our country?

Now I realize this topic may tend to turn up transgression amongst our current political parties but what functions do these two federal government agencies serve? Well they both are suppose to look out for the welfare of our people. But due to ever-growing corporate led political campaigns I am unsure whether or not the interest of the people is being served out.

Due to people such as Koch brothers (Charles and David Koch) as well as many others like them these two agencies have been greatly weakened. But all you have to do is look at growing countries such as China and India to realize how lucky we are to have these two government entities fighting to stay alive; as well as fighting to help us as American citizens stay alive ourselves.

See in recent years both of these agencies have come under attack by a growing constituency of Libertarians. Libertarians such as the Koch brothers embody.

The only problem is that such libertarian policies can be squarely blamed for not only the market crash of 2008, but the 1929 crash as well as the crash of the 1880's. See, the problem we as Americian people are both an arrogant and ignorant people. I say this because we have all seemingly forgotten what caused (in order that they occurred in our history) these maladies.

But much to the denial of such libertarians the long depression, which occurred in the 1880's, was able to take place because the robber-barrons had milked this country dry of all its wealth. Now with this said no one who honestly studies this can deny the fact that the industrial revolution had on this time period. In fact the railroads and their massive expansions westward in this country, aided by the Bessemer Process which was utilized to make steel for such railroads, is what gave rise to the housing boom of the 1880's. Kind of funny is it not that the 2008 crisis was caused by virtually the same type of 'housing bubble'?

But the main thing that you must keep in mind is who was running this country at the time. And the answer to that is a damming indictment of the republican party, because they were the party in power after Abe Lincoln held the Whitehouse. But more importantly than that was all of them practiced libertarian economic philosophies. Such ideals as the free market and hands off government when it came to things of economics.

Anyhow there was only one democrat that held the Whitehouse during this time for one term before the 1929 stock market crash. Again largely because of hands off policy practiced by these Republicans. And then we were up to a point in our history where people were fed up with the republican/libertarian philosophies. And this led to FDR's New Deal liberalism. Which our country prospered under until Ronald Reagan took the Whitehouse and appointed atheist Ayn Rand (Rand was an ex-russian jew), who began to mentor Alan Greenspan with her anti government rhetoric.

And Reagan etal worked very diligently to undermine FDR's policies. He unfunded many of the agencies implemented by FDR and those which weren't unfunded he underfunded them. But something he was hugely big on was deregulation. Well deregulation may sound like a keen ideal, but that is not the way that it works out for the majority of us. One of the key changes he made that has come to adversely affect nearly all of us was he made the trading of derivatives legal once more. Now I have no way of knowing how much that you know about the 2008 crisis but it was largely caused by derivatives. We as American people need to realize these facts, and the fact that the only economic philosophy which allowed us to give birth to the middle class is very antithetical to the republican party in general but it is even more antithetical to the TEA Party. And as my friend told me several times today he said the I did not stress enough the fact that they were EVIL enough in this article, so now I have said it point blank. And both of these federal agencies are suppose to protect us the citizens against the things that people like the Kochs are involved in. Why else do you think they are ardent libertarians and pour millions into the republican party for? Now to be quite honest the republicans I know do not know what all the Kochs do. But why else would they pour millions into campaigns if they were not damaging the environment and everything else that they do in their nefarious ways? And why do they do all of this in secrecy-- are they afraid that if the Americans know about their libertarian ways and what all they do to damage the environment it would hurt them financially or what?
