Coming in the 3rd quarter of 2012?

I just read an article about something coming down the pipeline. You can see it here for yourselves. What sets this module apart from ALL of the others is that it outputs AC voltage instead of DC voltage. This is a giant step forward in the ways of PV's is concerned.

If this sets the trend, then there will no longer be a need for an inverter. The only drawback I can see is does it integrate well with the transmission grid in our country? By this what I mean is does it come with a line commutated inverter so that your output will be in sync with our grid? A very important question to ask if you ask me. Maybe in the future this question will be answered.
