Exxon Mobil's oil leak last year in the Yellowstone River has more or less scarred it for life!

Well far too little attention was given to the Exxon Mobil oil spill last year (2011) on the Yellowstone River. The July 1 Exxon Mobil oil spill was responsible for at least 1,500 barrels or 63,000 gallons of oil spilled into said river near Laurel, Wyoming. And here is an article which was written about the oil spill shortly after it happened.

These are company figures, who knows it could be more given Exxon and BP (British Petroleum) failure to account for these figures properly. Here is a link to a story which I published about their indescrepencies in their official figures-- my article was published on May 8th of this year.

In recent weeks Montana Officials have been noticing some ominous signs downstream from where this event occurred at. While this pits environmental quality of their water, so far it has tested 'oil free' if you will. But a sheen, which is typical of oil, has been appearing on a lot of waters downstream from the spill. At the present moment the scientists and government spokesmen have said such a sheen is due to algae or some other naturally occurring decomposing organisms. I guess time and arduous testing will be the only way we will be able to tell.

And this was the article which inspired me to write about this spill-- which you should really check out if you are interested in such.
