Derby Line, Vermont Windmills Cause Controversy In Canada

There is a controversy brewing right now in Derbyline, Vermont. This is all that we environmentalist needs now. Why does everyone throw a fit about wind turbines for? Wouldn't your time be better spent trying to fight the car makers, as well as anyone that uses coal? I mean this is real clean energy right here that is causing such a ruckus with our neighbors to the north.

Yes there is a very valid question for the courts to decide upon. See, the law in Stanstead, Quebec requires that turbines can be no closer than 1,640 ft from the nearest home. And the proposed wind site puts one well below Stanstead's requirements, at 1,000 ft.

But the plan has yet to be approved for this wind park, according to the Huffingtoon Post. As is pointed out in this article, there really is no precedent to follow here. Who will win out in this case, and in which court will be the decider in this case? All excellent questions which some court in the lands shall decide.
