Cook inlet oil and gas auctioned off

Cook inlet oil and gas is headed for the auction block. For the life of me I do not understand why this country or its industries do not accept wind and solar. Well we just seem to be unable to accept this 100+ year old technology. I guess what they say about old habits being hard to break may be somewhat true.

Technology right now has caught up with the automobile industry. Now all we need is the likes of Honeywell and GE to embrace this technology. As well they need to get started on battery manufacturing. I just do not get it.

Apparently according to this article, the government has held an auction for forty four tracts of land. The bids at this auction reached from a low of $25 an acre to a high of $82.50 dollars an acre. Why oh why does industry do this to us? There is a much better way and the time to do it is now.

Totally absent from this article was any of the talk about a lawsuit filed by four groups Tuesday against that National Marine Fisheries Service claiming the agency improperly issued exploration permits to Apache for high-intensity seismic exploration. The groups claim the noise will disrupt an endangered species, Cook Inlet beluga whales. Perhaps in the end we will not succumb to the evil corporations now!
