Yes you read that correctly, President Obama wants to take away four billion dollars from oil companies and instead spend it on green energy technology. And is his weekly address he said the economy is becoming healthier but urged us to help it more. He says we could do that by supporting him and his plans for green energy technology.
He also repeated a phrase which has become his catch slogan, 'we want to see more product stamped with Made in America.' And what he is referring to here is exports from the USA to foreign countries. And you can view his address below. Compliments of ABC news.
He is correct in saying that we cannot drill our way out of this mess. Especially given the fact that we only have 2% of the worlds oil reserves but consume 20%!
