That is right, apparently a Japanese startup uses magnesium and salt water for its fuel cells. And speaking on this rather novel invention, Professor Daiki Ohamahave, has said that this cell could be easily produced, but it comes at a rather high price. See the weight of such fuel cells would rival a lead acid batter or an alkaline one. In other words they are quite heavy.
