While the majority of you, my readers, may not get this story because it deals with electronic technology I am sure some of you can appreciate this. Tunneling Field Effect transistors (TFETs) dissipate less heat than conventional FETs (field effect transistor). What less heat translates to you the user as is a more energy efficient device.
And in this article they discuss the operation of such devices. They have a clever example of a dam and how it relates to water as a FET does to electrons.
While TFETS have yet to reach their older cousins just yet, but the folks at Notre Dame and Pennsylvania University are striving to change that fact.
I will do my best to bring you stories about up and coming technology in the world of energy. I will also bring you the utmost information on stories which have an impact on our environment here on planet Earth. Please be sure to like my blog folks, otherwise I have no way of knowing whether you like it or not.
