Power Producing Paint too good to be true?

Well, I just thought I would take a minute to tell you what the folks at the University of Notre Dame have been up to. They have developed a type of paint which is also a solar cell. Now at present they are only 1% efficient, compared to the 10% to 15% of currently available solar panels. But since this technology is in its infancy you can expect the design to be improved upon. Just think if you could give your entire house a 'paint job' and have enough energy to run all of your appliances basically free minus the cost of the paint.
