Jack Rickard explains the operation of lithium ion batteries in great detail
Well, since I covered lead acid batteries in depth in this blog, and have covered lithium ion batteries not so in depth, I thought I would use this opportunity to explain the operation of lithium ion cells in depth as well here. What I am going to do instead of trying to explain such in words is to defer to my good friend, Jack Ricard over at Cape Girardeau, MO. He does a good job of explaining the operation of lithium ion batteries, more specifically lithium iron phosphate, in this video. In this video he discusses the anode, cathode, Lithium Hexaflourophospate electrolytes, and more. And by the way he runs the EVTV website which you can find here. And in their store you can find anything which you might need for doing a conversion-- from batteries, to meters, to battery straps, they really do try to stock it all.
