A WWII vet apparently has solved one of wind powers biggest problems!

Raymond Green, a WWII vet, thinks that he might have solved one of wind turbines largest problems. You see, Green is an 89 year old veteran of the second world war and has developed a wind turbine that is more eco friendly than the models of the past thirty years or so.

His invention, known as Compressed Air Enclosed Wind Turbine (CWP) has been licensed to Jerry Lynch (an ex navy serviceman himself). Lynch is supposed to get Green's idea ready for commercialization as I understand it. And I am quoting here,
For your information, Raymond Green’s patented wind turbine is designed in such manner that it is safe for avian creatures.(direct quote from the http://www.greenoptimistic.com/ website)

There is no release date set on these things being produced yet that I could find. But it is purported to support at least twenty-five workers for its production facility. And just to give you all an idea of what a CWP in fact is, here is a picture of Green's patented wind turbine:

So, here we have a WWII vet who is looking to the future, and actually helping the wind industry achieve its goal of avian safe wind turbines!
