Upon reading this article, you can see what the insurance industry has known and accepted as fact. Why is it that the insurance accepts global warming, but we still have this issue debated by politicians? Can they not accept what the insurance companies have known for years or what?
What is more about this is where did all of our hydrocarbons we have used for hundreds of years come from? Can anyone else here say the carboniferous period? The carboniferous period took place millions of years ago and plant life was in its height at that time. Thus all of the coal and oil which was left behind by it.
What have we done since the beckoning of the industrial age on this planet? Burnt a lot of hydrocarbons unfortunately. And these hydrocarbons we have so liberally burned came from the carboniferous period millions of years ago. So, what were we thinking? Did we ever give these processes the chance that we were setting the earth up for the 'Carboniferous Part II'. As a good friend of mine, who is an avid botanist once said to me, we have taken this stuff out of the ground and put it back into the atmosphere. Truer words could not have been spoken!
