I should also tell you I finished reviewing the documents that I posted yesterday concerning this plant's site. In their environmental impact study which was completed in 2010, they recognize the proposed site to be outside the confines of their existing facilities. The area which they sited was west of the present day plant. If you are from around here, you may remember the old Allied Plant cleared some land west of the plant circa 2000. That is where the proposed plant is supposed to be built. But more land needs to be cleared to square that tract of land up with the existing facility.
I will do my best to bring you stories about up and coming technology in the world of energy. I will also bring you the utmost information on stories which have an impact on our environment here on planet Earth. Please be sure to like my blog folks, otherwise I have no way of knowing whether you like it or not.

Patent application for Lithium hexafluorophosphate a main ingredient in lithium ion batteries
In accordance with their grant from the federal government, Honeywell just filed for a patent on the process they will use to make the lithium hexafluorophosphate batteries. Patent filing notice Notice this patent filing was just completed January 5, 2012. This thing is really going to happen! According to their grant they must have the project completed by 2013. And I might should note that I have seen several job postings over the past two years for Honeywell's Metropolis facility and now I know why they were needing electrical engineers as well as a 'regional construction leader'. Too bad they have kept all of this hush-hush intentionally.
