Although Buffet said he knows nothing of the project he says building the Keystone pipeline just makes sense

Well Warren Buffet came out recently in favor of the Keystone XL pipeline. I believe he said this to a Canadian press correspondent or something like that. But what makes Buffet an expert on this pipeline, as he admitted in the interview he knows nothing about the project. Is he or one of his many companies going to profit from such pipeline or what?

As I have said in this blog before, I believe that such proposal should not be approved until and unless they have many automated safe guards built in it. Yes it will surely drive the cost up, but we cannot put a price on our environment. Once it (the environment) suffers from one of these oil spills it could kill all plant life for a decade or more anywhere that comes in contact with the oil. And this is not to even mention the damage it will do to the water supply. I believe one drop of water could contaminate a sizeable amount of water.

People who live in the states that Keystone XL will be going through need to be very afraid of the water contamination issue. After all most of them are water poor states anyway as was just featured in my article about the dust bowl which started in a number of these states.
