Lobbying Groups Fight to Stop FDA From Regulating Chemical Linked to Erectile Dysfunction and Miscarriages

Of course the usual suspects are involved with the EPA in rejecting the proposal which would have banned bisphenol-A (BPA). And these suspects are the same ones involved in everything to do with plastics.

BPA has been linked to everything from miscarriages and erectile dysfunction. It can act as an estrogen mimic and cause girls to go through puberty much earlier than they should have.

The American Chemistry Council and the North American Metal Packaging Alliance have stood up for BPA in these proceedings. But a uniquely quiet consortium of the biggest manufacturers of BPA said absolutely nothing about it! So here we have a chemical which has been shown to cause all of this bad stuff, but the EPA still let them get away with it. You can read more about it here.
