New Nuclear Waste Recycling Technology Discovered by Notre Dame Researchers

Apparently a team at Notre Dame have recently discovered a new process for cleaning up radioactive waste. And big surprise their method involves thorium.

For the life of me I cannot see why Thorium technology has not been given any attention. According to the folks at Notre Dame it can be employed to clean up a nuclear mess like what they have right now at Fukushima. Why is it that as time goes on we learn more about this element and it all sounds good?

Thorium can actually be used in a nuclear process to eat up our current plutonium and uranium as well. Again I must say Why is our government not working on this technology?

And if you want to read more about this new technology I would suggest that you start your readinghere. But just google LFTR and see what comes up. You will most likely get millions of results about Liquid Flouride Thorium Reactor and you too could be up on this emerging technology.
