Of course if you haven't heard of the Tesla Roadster you had to be living with your head in the sand. But beyond the Roadster, they also make a Model S and a Model X, both of which are much more modestly priced than their roadster is.
The UEV Spyder (Universal Electric Vehicle's) is another EV in the sporty car market, right along with the spider in some configurations it comes with.
The Phoenix SUT is getting down into everybody's price range for an EV, as you can get into one of these for $45,000 I believe.
The Miles ZX40 is not a true contender in the var market, as it only achieves a top speed of around 25 mph. It would be ideal for people who live in the busiest cities on earth though, because a top speed of over 25 mph is unheard of in these places.
The ZENN is another player in the EV market. But its very name is an acronym meaning 'Zero Emission, No Noise' which I thought to be a rather clever name for a vehicle. The two largest drawbacks to this car is its range of 35 miles and its tininess. The base price for a ZENN is $12,500.
The GEM e2 is about the lowest range of electric vehicles. And what is worse, it looks like it too! But they have a price tag that matches it, selling between $7,000 and $12,500.
The Smart EV which is only available in the UK and Switzerland. I believe they market it atrictly to 'blue chip' companies from what I can tell.
The Mullen L1X-75 is at the high end of the market. Even higher yet than the Tesla Roadster with a price range of a small house. They start out I believe at $125,000, and who knows what you can get in the way of options.
The G-Wiz EV, which is only available the UK. It is your typical European 'box' car. And unfortunately I coulkd not determine the base price of such vehicle, all I could tell from the article is it costs 6-8 pounds more than its competitors. But without knowing which competitors the article is referencing there it leaves the price of such automobile up in the air as far as I am concerned.
And finishing off our top ten list is the Kurrent. See the current has a low price of $10,600 but that low price comes at a cost. You see unlike other cars featured here, the Kurrent utilizes standard lead acid batteries. Something that I personally would not want in an EV!
I will do my best to bring you stories about up and coming technology in the world of energy. I will also bring you the utmost information on stories which have an impact on our environment here on planet Earth.
